예수가 사람이며 하나님이시라는 고백은 오직 그의 삶에 근거 할 때만 참되게 이해된다.
The confession that Jesus was a true human and he is God only can be understood, based on what he said and did.
예수가 하나님이시라는 것은 그의 삶에 대한 긍정이요 예수가 사람이라는 것은 하나님께서 우리에게 찾아 오실 때에 그와 같을 것이라는 고백이다.
Claiming Jesus as the Son of God affirms that his earthly life was Godly and declaring Jesus as the Son of Man makes us imagine how God is with us in our suffering.
내 신앙의 경험으로는 그의 삶은 인간에 대한 긍정, 자유, 사랑이었다.
And then what his life was like I can say: it was full of acceptance, freedom, and love for humanity.
이 삶을 인정하는 것 없이 예수는 그리스도라는 신앙은 허구가 아닐까?
Without noticing his amazing life, who can possibly say that she/he has a true faith?

기도 Prayer

기도는 나의 마음이 하나님을 향하도록 하는 것이며
Prayer is making one’s mind toward God,
기도는 행위가 아니라 마음의 상태이다.
so prayer is not one’s action but a state of her/his mind.

의지적으로 하나님의 마음을 닮으려는 부단한 노력 끝에 이르는 마음의 상태이다.
Prayer is one’s spirit found through endless try at learning and obeying God,

기도의 방법은 여러 가지 일지라도
Although there might be many kinds of method to pray to God,
기도하는 이의 “마음 상태”는 한 가지이다: "열망과 평화의 공존”
in my opinion, there’s one state of mind: coexistence of longing and peace.

신앙과 보상 Faith and its reward

신앙의 보상은 즉각적인 것이다.
If you are in faith in God, its reward is prompt.

예수 그리스도를 믿고 따를 때에
Following Jesus Christ as one’s model,

사람들의 삶에는 급진적인 해석의 변화가 오고
there comes the change of interpretation for matters on earth,

그래서 세상의 해석과는 다른 생각을 품는다.
so then the one can think differently than some other worldly people.

예수로 인해 오히려 물리적 환경이 더 나빠질 수 있다.
It is true that one’s physical circumstances would become worse than before believing in Jesus.

그러나 “인내”의 목적을 나중에 올 상급이라고 할 필요가 없다.
However, it is not necessary to say that the one need to endure her suffering until receiving the reward from God.

그 나빠진 상황 속에서도 그리스도인들은 자신을 해방하시는 하나님의 임재를 체험하기 때문이다.
For Christians here and now experience the presence of God in which we are freed amongst harsh world.

구원의 희망을 품고
Let us hold the hope for our salvation

믿음과 사랑의 삶을 살자.
and let us live faithful and loving life.

왜?
Why?

우리는 밤의 사람이 아니라 낮의 사람이다.
It is because we are not the people of the night but the people of the day.

낮에는 사람들의 정신이 온전하다.
People are sound when it is daytime.

신앙고백 A Profession

하나님과의 사귐 속에 살아가는 인생은
When a person lives in the relation with God,
기다림이 있고, 고난이 있고, 희생과 헌신이 있고, 신의가 있다.
there come longing, suffering, sacrifice, and loyalty.

세상 믿지 않는 사람들에게 닥쳐오는 고난과 고통이 믿음의 사람들에게도 찾아온다.
Much pain lies in the one’s life time as it does in the living of those who claim that there is no God so they are gods.

그러나 고난 속에서 소망의 빛이 타오른다.
However, the light of hope is burning in the dark of the bitterness of life, in the unjust world.
아직 결과하지 않은 일들로 인하여 불안에 떨기보다 하나님을 신뢰하기 때문에 오는 평안 속에 산다.
The one lives in peace from faith in God rather than anxiety for the near future or the present.

믿음은 하나님과의 사귐 속에 평안을 누리며 사는 것이다.
Faith leads us to live with God in peace.

Title: Your Faith
Text: Hebrews 11:1-3
Purpose: Christians keep their faith in God strongly.
Content: Human ability/The people of God

This week was the most exciting week because of what happen to me personally. The result of the event finished as the worst though. How were your weekdays? Whatever happened to us that was the blessing of God. I believe that.

Human ability
Are you a truly believer in Christianity? Do you think that you are pleasing God with your belief in God. Let me give you some words to justify what is not belief in God. The feeling of fear, worries, uneasiness, and regret do not belong to strong believer. These feelings sometimes come out of our mind because we have no ability to control certain circumstances.
Fear rises when a person goes in a dark place like cave, when a person travel in abroad, when a person with a wild animal. When I was 5years old, I had been bit by a big dog. After that I am afraid to be with a big dog. Also we feel fear because we do not know when is the time to lose our own things such as our money, friends, house, and life and so on.
These bad feelings are connected with our wishes. We hope that we are happy but the truth is that we cannot control the situations around us. What I must say to you is that even though you worry about many things in your life, which could not help you to live better. You are not the master of you life. People say that they live by their own thought. However, we believe that we are belonging to God. So we live by God’s rule. Let me say again, we live by the power of God not by ours.
There are people who say that they believe themselves and live by their own power. However that is not true. They might try but they will not. All of us in this world live in unknown future but some of us will get God’s help in their life and will experience the power of God. Who is going to be the one? The one is someone strongly believe in God and God’s purpose on her or him.

The People of God
You want to be the one? Then you live with God. How to? Bible text today shows us how to be the one who lives with God. You can do this by faith. “1What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see.”
Recently I found myself that I sometimes forget God is with me. Because of that kind of bad habit, I was not happy enough. Why? Whenever I forget my God with me, I could not have the power of God in my life. Do you think that you did the same I did? Then you need to understand that God will help you only if you strongly believe in God.
Believing in living, the Savior, and loving God you can live with the almighty God. However even after you become overwhelmed by this sermon, you would not be able to live by your faith. Why is that? You have lived by your own mind very long time, so your past experiences dominate you. Your mind would be changed right now but your body would not. The change you are longing for in you will be come slowly. What is the point is that you keep try to be with God.

Faith is working like this. Moses gave up his privilege to be the prince of Egypt to follow God’s will. He had hard time for 40years but did not regret about his life. Why? He has walked along God. He believed that God will give him eternal joy as well as Ganaan for descendants of Israelites.
Likewise, for us, I mean, for our life, sometimes you have to get through difficult situations, however you must not worry but trust your living God. You must be with God in every moment. That will be your truly happiness.

Let’s Pray.
Oh! God, we need you. We are in you. Our life is relying on you. Let us live by your power. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
